04.07.2026 - The Young Indians, Coimbatore Chapter, organized the "Rural Pitch 2026 – Physical Bootcamp" at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore.
Thiru A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, delivered a session as a speaker on the topic "Start-Up Incubation and Agribusiness Opportunities."
The event brought together aspiring entrepreneurs from rural backgrounds, where actively participated in the session and benefited from the insights shared.



07.07.2026 - Mr.V.Chenthurpandi, Senior Manager – Business Development, M/s. Scientific Food Testing Services (P) Ltd., visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.
During his visit, Thiru A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, briefed him on the various programmes implemented by ABIS-TBI, the services offered, the facilities available for startups, students, farmers and the marketing opportunities provided for startup products.

08.07.2026 - ABIS-TBI, TNAU, PM-RKVY, RAFTAAR, R ABI Centre - Grant Disbursement event.
Dr. K. Subrahmaniyan, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, graced the event as the Chief Guest and distributed the first installment of grant assistance amounting to Rs.83.20 lakhs to 25 startups under the PM-RKVY RAFTAAR, R-ABI AOP, SOP and SAIP Cohort VI programme. He also delivered the Presidential Address.
Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director, ABD, welcomed the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, TNAU and the participants.
Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, briefed the gathering on the activities of ABIS-TBI, the support extended to startups under various Government of India programmes and delivered the vote of thanks.
The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor inspected the infrastructure facilities established at DABD, ABIS-TBI and TIPPC.

09.07.2026 - 13.07.2026 - "24th Edition of AGRI INTEX 2026"
The 24th edition of AGRI INTEX 2026 was held from 9th to 13th July 2026 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore participated as the Knowledge Partner for the event.
The Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU, Coimbatore was allotted two stalls in Hall H, where the activities and initiatives of ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore were showcased to visitors and stakeholders.
In addition, 14 startups incubated under ABIS-TBI participated in the exhibition had taken individual stalls, displaying their innovative products, technologies and agribusiness solutions.
During the exhibition, Sri A. V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, visited the stalls of the incubated startups, interacted with the entrepreneurs, appreciated their innovations and encouraged them in their entrepreneurial journey.

10.07.2026 - Mrs.Sudha Selvaraj, Chief Executive Officer, Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) had visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.
Sri A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, briefed on the programmes operated in ABIS-TBI, activities carried out to Start-Ups and the facilities available.

11.07.2026 - The "Rural Pitch 2026 – A Rural Start-Up Initiative", jointly organized by Young Indians and Start-Up Singam, was held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore, on 11 July 2026.
Sri A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, participated as the Keynote Speaker and Jury Member for the event.
The preliminary screening and Physical Bootcamp were conducted on 4 July 2026 at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. Out of 120 applications, 80 participants were shortlisted for the bootcamp and 15 finalists advanced to the final pitching round.
Following the final evaluation, 8 rural startups were selected and awarded a cash prize of Rs.1.00 lakh each.



15.07.2026 - As part of their internship, 20 third-year B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) students from Dr. NTR College of Agricultural Engineering, Bapatla and the College of Agricultural Engineering, ANGRAU, undergoing Skill Development Training at ICAR–CIAE, Coimbatore, visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.
Mr. A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, delivered a session on the activities of ABIS-TBI and the various services and support extended to start-ups.
The students also visited the TBI Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC), where they explored a wide range of innovative products developed by start-ups incubated at ABIS-TBI.

15.07.2026 - 20 trainees from MYRADA KVK, Gobichettipalayam, Erode district visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.
Sri. A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, briefed the trainees on the activities, facilities available at ABIS-TBI and the support extended to startups through various programmes.
The trainees also visited the TBI Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC) and explored the innovative products developed by the startups.

17.07.2026 - A one-day Physical Capacity Building Programme for the PM-RKVY AOP & SOP Cohort 8 trainees was conducted at the ABIS-Technology Business Incubator (TBI), TNAU, Coimbatore, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The training programme focused on “Proposal Writing, Company Formation and Government of India Schemes for Start-ups.”

18.07.2026 - Dr.P.Shankar, IAS, Agricultural Production Commissioner (APC) and Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu for the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department visited ABIS-TBI, TIPPC, TNAU, Coimbatore.
Dr.K.Subrahmaniyan, Acting Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, Coimbatore was present during the visit of APC.
During his visit, Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director, ABD and Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, briefed the various programmes implemented in ABIS-TBI, services offered, facilities available for startups, students, farmers and marketing opportunities provided for Start-Up products.




19.07.2026 - The Third edition of "Karur Iyarkai Velaan Thiruvizha 2026", jointly organized by the Karur District Organic Farmer's Association and the Nammalvar Centre for Ecological Living (Vaanagam), was held at Kongu Mandram, Karur.
A total of 10 TBI start-ups had participated in the event and showcased their innovative products.
During the exhibition a large number of farmers, aspiring entrepreneurs, students and the general public visited the start-up stalls and interacted about the products showcased by the start-ups.

20.07.2026 - 61 nos.of B.Sc.(Agri) students along with 3 faculty pursuing 1 st year from Krishna College of Agriculture and Technology, Madurai visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore as part of their Educational visit.

21.07.2026 - PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, organized a three-month training programme under the DSIR Skill Satellite Centre, Annur, for rural women entrepreneurs on the preparation of value-added food products.
Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore was invited as the Chief guest, to distribute the training completion certificates for the Women trainees who have successfully completed their training under the DSIR Skill Satellite Centre.
The MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI explained the various Government schemes operated in TBI and also interacted with the trainees and provided the required inputs for their product development.




24.07.2026 - 74 no.s of students pursuing Ist year B.Sc. (Agri) along with 2 faculty from Mother Teresa College of Agriculture, Pudukottai visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore as part of their Educational visit.

24.07.2026 - The Tea Board of India, in collaboration with the Directorate of Agri Business Development, TNAU, Coimbatore and ABIS–Technology Business Incubator, TNAU, Coimbatore, jointly organized the “South India’s Signature Tea Fair and Buyer–Seller Interactive Session” at the Convocation Hall, TNAU, Coimbatore.
Dr. E. Somasundaram, Director (ABD), TNAU, Coimbatore, welcomed and addressed the dignitaries and participants, highlighting the significance of the event and its objectives.
Shri. M. Bharani Kumar, IAS, Executive Director, Tea Board of India, presided over the event and shared his valuable insights with the participants.
Dr.K.Subrahmaniyan, Acting Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, Coimbatore, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the Chief Guest Address, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the tea sector through innovation, entrepreneurship and effective buyer–seller linkages.
One Technical session was handled by Shri.Rajeev Baid, Founder, M/s.Chai Chun Tea Boutique, West Bengal. Followed by this, a buyer and seller meet was organised. Also Leading Tea Growers and Sellers had showcased their products in the Exhibition stalls for the benefit of small Tea Growers and TNAU Students.
In continuation to that, Shri. M. Bharani Kumar, IAS, Executive Director, Tea Board of India, visited ABIS-TBI, TIPPC, TNAU, Coimbatore.

29.07.2026 - 30.07.2026 - The "Start-up Conclave & Poultry Expo 2026" is organised at Sakthi Institute of Information and Management Studies (SIIMS), Pollachi, Coimbatore in association with Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture (VIA), Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA) & Poultry Farmers Regulatory Committee (PFRC).
This event was inaugurated by Sri.R.lakshmanan,Chairman of BCC&PFRC and MD of Shanthi Feeds Ltd.
Mr. A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO of ABIS-TBI, was invited as the Guest Speaker for the event and he delivered a session titled “Incubation and Government Funding opportunities for Poultry Start-Ups” on 29.07.2026 at NGM College Campus,Pollachi.
Five of the TBI members were provided with free Stalls for participating and showcasing their products in the “ Start-up Conclave & Poultry Expo 2026 ”.
Officials from various Government Departments, Officials from Veterinary College and Research Institute, Udumalpet, Heads of Institutions, Industrialists, Poultry Farmers, Start-up founders & Students from VIA, KIA, SIIMS & NGM College participated the event.

30.07.2026 - Mr. A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, is a Course Teacher for ARM 121 – Entrepreneurial Skills for Agribusiness (0+2).
As part of the course, he handled a session for 100 first-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / Horticulture / ABM students from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore,visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.
The students visited the TBI Exhibition Hall, where they explored various products developed by startups.
