08.06.2026 - As part of the AEX D22 – Study Tour (0+1) course, 100 second-year Diploma students (Agriculture/Horticulture) from the Institute of Agriculture (IOA), Kumulur, Trichy, visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

During the visit, Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, delivered a special lecture and interacted with the students on entrepreneurship and agribusiness opportunities.

The students visited TBI-Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.

10.06.2026 - Thiru.R.Vinoth, Hon.Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Tamil Nadu visited ABIS-TBI, TIPPC, TNAU, Coimbatore.

During his visit, Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director ABD, TNAU, Coimbatore and Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore briefed about programmes operated in ABIS-TBI, Start-Up services offered and facilities available in ABIS-TBI for Start-Ups.

Thiru.R.Vinoth, Hon.Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Tamil Nadu overviewed the Start-Up products showcased in TIPPC.

11.06.2026 - Mrs.Aishwarya Jayan of M/s. Future Mantra, one of our TBI Incubatee, working on the project titled "Natural Dyed Organic Clothing" was sanctioned with the TN-EDII-IVP -Voucher A- First Installment Grant amount of Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand Only).

The Grant Disbursement was done by Dr. E. Somasundaram, Director (ABD), & Secretary ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore and Sri.A.V. Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI to Mrs.Aishwarya Jayan of M/s. Future Mantra at ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

12.06.2026 - As part of Study tour, 25 no.of students pursuing IVth year B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture along with 1 faculty from Imayam Institute of Agriculture & Technology, Trichy visited ABIS-TBI,TIPPC,TNAU, Coimbatore.

Thiru.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI,TNAU,Coimbatore handled a class on the activities of TBI, Programmes operated in TBI and facilities available for Start-Ups in TBI.

The students visited TBI-Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.

15.06.2026 - Mr.Senthilkumar, RM, Dinamalar visited ABIS-TBI-Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC) TNAU, Coimbatore.

During this visit, Sri. A.V. Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI briefed the ABIS-TBI programmes operated, activities done and facilities to Mr.Senthilkumar, RM, Dinamalar visited ABIS-TBI, TIPPC.

16.06.2026 - Dr.D.Aravind,Assist.professor, (Med.Botany) from National Institute of Siddha, Chennai visited TBI-Incubatee Product Promotoin Centre (TIPPC), TNAU, Coimbatore.

During this visit Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimabatore

explained the ABIS-TBI programmes operated, activities done,marketing opportunities from Agri & Allied sector products and facilities.

Dr.D.Aravind, Assist.professor, (Med.Botany) explored various startup products in ABIS-TBI, TNAU,Coimbatore. 

Dr.T.Saraswathi, Ph.D., Professor & Head, Dept.of Medicinal & Aromatics Crops, Horticultural College & Research Institute, TNAU,Coimbatore accompanied the visitor.

17.06.2026 - Dr.S.S.Dolli, Principal Investigator & CEO, Krishik Agri Business Incubator, UAS, Dharwad, Karnataka, visited ABIS-TBI, TIPPC, TNAU, Coimbatore.

During the visit, Mr. A.V. Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, explained the various programmes implemented by ABIS-TBI, startup support activities undertaken, services offered, facilities available for startups and marketing opportunities for products from the agriculture and allied sectors.

Dr.C.Karthikeyan, Professor and Head, Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, TNAU, Coimbatore accompanied the visitor.

19.06.2026 - The Department of Agricultural Marketing & Agri Business Department is conducting a State Level Farmers Training under the Support to State Extension Programmes for Extension Reform (ATMA) Scheme (SSEPERS).

As part of the training programme, 30 farmers from Nagapattinam District, Nagapattinam block, undergoing training on "Mushroom Growing Technologies" visited TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC). They were exposed to various startup products. 

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore briefed the services offered to Farmers & FPO's operated at ABIS-TBI.

19.06.2026 - The Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU, Coimbatore conducted two days training on "Export Documentation & Procedures for Agricultural Products" from 18.06.2026 to 19.06.2026 at DABD, TNAU, Coimbatore. 56 nos of trainees were attended the training. 

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO ABIS, TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore briefed the TBI Programmes, services offered, facilities available for Startups, farmers and marketing oppourtunities for products from the agriculutre and allied sectors.

The trainees visited TBI facilities as well as TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various startup products.   

22.06.2026 - A total of 43 No's of IVth year B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture students, accompained by two faculty members from Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University visited ABIS-TBI and TIPPC, as part of the course AEX-102: Fundamentals of Extension Education (2+1).

22.06.2026 - A total of 46 IV Year students from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, comprising 29 B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students, 15 B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture students, and 2 B.Sc. (Hons.) Agribusiness Management students, pursuing the Experiential Learning course PAT-452: Commercial Mushroom Production (0+10), visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

22.06.2026 - TNAPEx – Agri Processing & Exports, Government of Tamil Nadu, "Food Tech Crash Course" (Batch II), a physical training programme is being conducted at the Directorate of Agribusiness Development from 18.06.2026, with the participation of 25 graduates.

During the programme, Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, delivered a session on "Agri Business Opportunities through Incubation." He also provided an overview of the activities of ABIS-TBI, the various programmes operated by the TBI and the facilities and support available for agri-startups at ABIS-TBI.

The trainees visited NIDHI PRAYAS Shala (FAB LAB), Food Packaging facility and TBI-Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.
