02.09.2026 - ABIS–TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, participated in the "World Coconut Day 2026" celebration held in TNAU, Coimbatore.

 

During the event, seven start-ups from ABIS–TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore showcased their innovative coconut-based value-added products.

About 1000 Farmers from various FPO's and FPC's from across the State participated in the event. Officials from the State Department of Agriculture and Department of Agribusiness & Agrimarketing participated.

The event provided a valuable platform for the startups to showcase their innovative products and to interact with Farmers, Students and other stakeholders.

03.09.2026 - 19 no.s of 1st year M.Sc., (Agrl.Extn) students undergoing EXT 510 Gender Mainstreaming (2+1) course from Tamil Nadu Agriculutral University, Coimbatore visited ABIS-TBI. DABD, TNAU, Coimbatore.

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore briefed the TBI programmes offered, facilities available to startups and students.

The students visited ABIS-TBI Exhibition Hall,  DST-NIDHI PRAYAS SHALA Prototype Development facility and TBI-Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.

07.09.2026 - Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore visited the facility of Dr. B.Thanuja of M/s. Agsaimo Organic Solutions Pvt Ltd, Chennai, TBI member and PM- RKVY- RAFTAR- R ABI Grantee to monitor the work progress pertaining to the  RKVY RAFTAR-R ABI Grant disbursed.

07.09.2026 - Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore visited the facility of Mr.Aijith Kannan of Ms.Sand Bird Research and Development Private Limited, Chennai, TBI member and PM- RKVY- RAFTAR- R ABI Grantee to monitor the work progress pertaining to the  RKVY RAFTAR-R ABI Grant disbursed.

07.09.2026 - Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore visited the facility of Mrs.Preetha of M/s. Aavyukth cow products, Chennai, TBI member and PM- RKVY- RAFTAR- R ABI Grantee to monitor the work progress pertaining to the  RKVY RAFTAR-R ABI Grant disbursed.

08.09.2026 - "Kisan Mela" was organized  by TN Dept.of Agriculture, O/o, the Joint Director of Agriculture, Coimbatore, to create awareness on Organic Farming for Kuruvai Cultivation at Parimala Subramaniam Hall. Sethumadai, Anaimalai, Coimbatore.

Also, seminar cum Exhibition was held during the event.

Shri.Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, I.A.S., District Collector of Coimbatore inaugurated the event and delivered the Presidential address.

The Joint Director of Agriculture, Coimbatore District along with the Agri./ Horti /Agribusiness & Agri marketing Department Officials participated and briefed the special schemes currently operated for farmers in Coimbatore District.

About 1000 no.s of Farmers (Men and Women) from FPO's and FPC's in and around from Coimbatore District had participated in the event.

ABIS-TBI,TNAU,Coimbatore actively participated in the event and 6 nos. of Women led Start-ups & RKVY Grantees from ABIS-TBI,TNAU participated and showcased their products viz., Bio-fertilizers, Bio- Pesticides, Bio-fungicide, Organic Manures, Growth promoters and Value added products from Organically grown cereals, Pulses and Horticultural crops were showcased for the benefit of Farmers, Start-Ups and other participants.

08.09.2026 - ABIS–TBI is a Knowledge Partner for the EDII-Innovation Voucher Programme (IVP). 

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS–TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore, attended the review meeting Chaired by Mrs.Supriya Sahu, I.A.S., Addl. Chief Secretary/Commissioner, EDII–TN at EDII Office, Chennai.

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO presented the activities of TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore and the Incubation support offered by Start-Ups under various programmes. 

Discussions also included suggestions and recommendations for strengthening the effective implementation of the EDII–TN IVP programme.

09.09.2026 - The GoI-MoA & FW,New Delhi, Extension Education Institute (EEI) Hyderabad, Collaborate with Directorate of Extension Education, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore is conducting training programme in the theme of "Extension Methodologies for Agripreneurs for effective outreach" from 07.09.2026 to 11.09.2026 at the Directorate of Extension Education, TNAU, Coimbatore. 

20 nos.of Agrl.Extension Professors from TNAU Constituent Colleges and Affiliated Colleges along with 4 nos .of PG Agrl.Extension Students participated.

During this training programme, Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore handled a session to the participants on TBI Programmes offered, facilities available to Start-Ups and students.

The trainees visited  ABIS-TBI Exhibition Hall, DST-NIDHI PRAYAS SHALA Prototype Development facility and TBI-Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.

Dr.N.Anandaraja, Ph.D., Professor & Head (Agrl. Extension), Training Division, Directorate of Extension Education ,TNAU, Coimbatore accompanied the trainees.

10.09.2026 - 29.Nos.of students from Govt.Higher Secondary School for Hearing Impaired, Thanjavur along with 2 no.s of staff visited ABIS-TBI, TIPPC, TNAU, Coimbatore.

The students visited TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various startup products.   

11.09.2026 - Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore visited the facility of Mrs. Aishwarya Jayan of M/s. Future Mantra, Coimbatore, TBI member and PM- RKVY- RAFTAR- R ABI, AOP VI Grantee to monitor the work progress pertaining to the  RKVY RAFTAR-R ABI Grant disbursed.

16.09.2026 - Dr.E.Vadivel, Former, Director of Extension Education, (Retd), TNAU, Coimbatore along with members of M/s. Erode Precision Farm Producer Company Ltd,  from Erode and M/s. Ammaiyappar Food Farmer Producers Company Limited, Palladam, Coimbatore, FPC's members visited ABIS-TBI, DABD, TNAU, Coimbatore.

During this visit, Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director (ABD), TNAU, Coimbatore briefed the activities and ongoing programmes offered by Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU, Coimbatore.

Also, Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, briefed the activities, facilitating the support extended to startups and FPC's/FPO's.
