About The Scheme

The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is an initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to support startups for:
• Proof of Concept
• Prototype Development
• Product Trials
• Market Entry
• Commercialization
The scheme helps startups transform innovative ideas into scalable businesses.
Eligibility Criteria

A startup must:
• Be DPIIT-recognized
• Be incorporated within 2 years at time of application
• Have innovative technology-driven solution
• Have at least 51% Indian promoter shareholding
• Not have received more than ₹10 Lakhs from other Government seed schemes


Funding Support
Financial assistance to support product development, validation, market entry, commercialization, and business expansion.
The funding is provided through incubators and released based on progress and defined milestones.

ABIS-TBI Role

ABIS-TBI, TNAU is an approved incubator under SISFS and:
• Screens and selects eligible startups
• Disburses seed fund
• Monitors milestones
• Provides incubation, mentoring and technical support
