TANSIM TANSEED
Empowering Early-Stage Startups through Seed Funding
TANSEED (Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Grant Fund) is an initiative by StartupTN aimed at supporting early-stage startups with seed funding to transform innovative ideas into scalable ventures.
Under the TANSIM – TANSEED programme, eligible startups receive grant support to accelerate product development, validation and market entry.
Until TANSEED 4.0, startups were provided with a seed grant of ₹10 Lakhs to support their early-stage growth.
TANSEED 3.0 – Startup Achievements
Under TANSIM – TANSEED 3.0, three startups incubated at ABIS-TBI were awarded ₹10 Lakhs each as grant support for their innovative ventures.
The grant was presented by Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. M. K. Stalin, in the presence of Thiru. T. Anbarasan, Honourable Minister for MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu.

TANSEED 4.0 – Startup Achievements
In TANSIM – TANSEED 4.0, six ABIS-TBI incubatees were awarded ₹10 Lakhs each as seed grant.
The grant was presented by Thiru. M. K. Stalin, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 30.12.2022.
The TANSEED 4.0 Pre-Finale was held on 17 December 2022 at PSG STEP, Coimbatore, where Mr. A. V. Gnanasambandam, CEO – ABIS-TBI served as one of the jury members

TANSEED 5.0 – Programme Highlights
Under TANSIM – TANSEED 5.0, StartupTN enhanced the seed grant support:
Up to ₹15 Lakhs for - Green Tech Startups, Rural Impact Startups, Women-led Startups
Up to ₹10 Lakhs for - other eligible startups - StartupTN receives a 3% equity stake in supported ventures.
The TANSEED 5.0 Pre-Finale was conducted on 21 April 2023 at PSG STEP, Coimbatore, where Mr. A. V. Gnanasambandam, ED & CEO – ABIS-TBI served as one of the jury members.
Startups from across Tamil Nadu presented their innovative ventures during the pitching session.
TANSEED 6.0 – Programme Highlights
ABIS,TBI,TNAU,Coimbatore was a Program Management Partner for evaluating STARTUP TN-TANSEED 6.0 applications. A total of 143 startup applications were assigned for evaluation. After the completion of Round one & Round two, 36 startup applications were selected for the FINALE round.
The FINALE round for TANSEED 6.0 was conducted on 11.06.2024. At the end of the FINALE round, 12 startups were awarded with Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only) each as 3 % of equity fund.
