02.03.2026 & 03.03.2026 - A National Workshop on "Reimagining India’s Agri-Incubation Ecosystem: Innovation, Good Practices and Future Pathways" was held on March 02 & 03, 2026 at MANAGE, Hyderabad. This event was organized by Dr.Saravanan Raj, Director, Agricultural Extension, National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) & MANAGE-CIA Team.

As ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore is an RKVY-RAFTAAR R-ABI Centre, Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director, ABD, TNAU & Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore participated in the Workshop.

Sri A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD & CEO, presented the activities of the ABIS-TBI, R ABI and interacted with delegates from various institutions and highlighted the initiatives.

04.03.2026 - The Directorate of Extension Education, TNAU, Coimbatore and State Agriculutral Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Kudumiyanmalai jointly organized the training for Extension officers from 02.03.2026 to 04.03.2026.

During this visit, Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, MD&CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore explianed the ABIS-TBI programmes operated, activities done and facility to 36 no.of Agriculture Officers on 04.03.2026.

The Agriculture Officers  visited the ABIS-TBI Exhibition Hall, PRAYAS SHALA (FAB LAB) and Food Packaging lab facilities in ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore. 

05.03.2026 - 31 no .of students B.Tech (Civil.Engineering) and B.E (Computer Science Engineering) along with one faculty from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET), Coimbatore visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO ABIS,TBI,TNAU,Coimbatore briefed the TBI programmes offered, facilities available to startups and students. 

The students visited ABIS-TBI Exhibition Hall, PRAYAS SHALA (FAB LAB), Food Packaging lab facilities and TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.

10.03.2026 - 22 Mushroom trainees from the Department of Plant Pathology, TNAU,Coimbatore visited TBI-TIPPC, TNAU,Coimbatore and explored various startup products.

12.03.2026 - A total of 64 final-year students from the B.Sc. (Agribusiness Management) program along with 2 faculty from College of Agriculture,University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad visited ABIS-TBI,TNAU, Coimbatore.

20.03.2026 - The Lead Bank, (Canara Bank), Coimbatore was awarded as the "Top Lead District in Margin Money Disbursement" under PMEGP for 2024-2025.

26.03.2026 - 29 Nos.of 1st year M.Sc (Agricultural Extension Education) students from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Managing Director & CEO ABIS,TBI,TNAU,Coimbatore handled a class on the Agribusiness Opportunities for Students & Start-Ups offered by TBI,TNAU,Coimbatore. 

The students visited TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various start-up products.

27.03.2026 - Thiru.V.Sampath, IAS., Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tamil Nadu Khadi & Village Industries Board Government of Tamil Nadu, along with his team visited ABIS, TBI- Incubatee Product Promotional Centre (TIPPC) TNAU, Coimbatore.

During this visit, Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director, ABD, TNAU explained to Thiru. V. Sampath, IAS., Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tamil Nadu Khadi & Village Industries Board Government of Tamil Nadu the activities of the Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU, Coimbatore.
