02.01.2025 - Final year B.Sc. (Forestry) students from Dr.Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh visited ABIS-TBI, DABD,TNAU, Coimbatore.

Dr. (Er.) Ghanshyam Agrawal, Associate Professor (Agril. Eng.) and Dr. Pratima Rana, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Extension) accompanied the students.

During the visit, Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Executive Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore briefed the services offered, facilities available and programmes operated at ABIS-TBI. 

The students also visited the TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC), where they explored various startup products.

03.01.2025 - Dr. Rajeev Ranjan I.A.S., (Rtd) Former Secretary GOI, Chief Secretary, Tamil Nadu, Special secretary GST Council at Govt. of India, Director ICRO (Indian Potash Limited Centre for Rural Outreach) visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

Dr. Rajeev Ranjan I.A.S., also visited TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC) and interacted with the NIDHI EIR Fellows.

08.01.2025 - Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, ED & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore offered a Lecture for the 35 ATMA Farmers from Theni District.

09.01.2025 - "National Startup day 2025" event was celebrated at ABIS-TBI, SISFS Centre, TNAU, Coimbatore.

Dr.E.Somasundaram, Director, ABD welcomed the gathering in the presence of University Officers, Government officials and 100 TBI startups.

As part of the event, a one day Workshop on "GOVERNMENT SCHEMES FOR STARTUPS" was organized for the benefit of startups.  

"SESSIONS ON GOVT.SCHEMES FOR AGRI START-UPS"

On this event, various government officials, briefed on the various government schemes and support being offered for the Agri startups.

Mrs.J.Krishnaveni, Joint Director of Agriculture, Coimbatore had offered a session on "TN- Department of Agriculture Schemes for FPO'S and Entrepreneurs".

Mrs.P.Meenapigai, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Agri Business), Department of Agriculture & Agri Business, Coimbatore had offered a session on "Schemes for Agri-Startups and FPO's".

Mr.V.Srinivasan, Founder M/s. Idea Guru Solutions, Coimbatore offered a session on “PMFME & AIF schemes”.

Thiru.P.P.Jithendran, Lead District Manager, Canara Bank, Coimbatore offered a session on "Start-up support schemes operated at Canara Bank".

Mrs.S.Ramya, Manager, Farm Sector-Technical Officer, State Bank of India offered a session on "Start-up support schemes supported at State Bank of India".

Mr.J.Parameswaran, Divisional Manager, Agriculture Credit Centre, Canara Bank, Erode offered a session on "Start-up support schemes operated at Canara Bank".

Smt.B.Kayalvizhi Asst. Director, Br.MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Coimbatore, offered a session on “MSME Schemes for Start-ups”.

Exhibition of Start-up Products

An exhibition was organised on 09.01.2025 at ABIS,TBI,SISFS centre, TNAU, Coimbatore, as part of the "National Startup Day 2025".

20 TBI Start-ups showcased their products. This exhibition was open to students of TNAU, Farmers and Start-ups.

20.01.2025 - 27 Students from PSG CAS 1st Year BA (Hons) International Business along with 2 faculty members visited ABIS-TBI, DABD,TNAU, Coimbatore.

22.01.2025 - Dr.P.Thangavel, Principal from M/s.Shree Venkateshwara Hi-Tech Engineering College, Gobichettipalayam visited to TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore.

24.01.2025 - 25 Farmers from Tuticorin District under the GoI schemes on Watershed Development Component of PMKSY (WDC-PMKSY) 2.0 visited TBI Incubatee Product Promotion Centre (TIPPC). They were exposed to various startup products.

25.01.2025 - Mr.A.V.Gnanasambandam, Executive Director & CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore conducted an online screening for a NIDHI PRAYAS Fund Cycle 2024-2025 applicants.

27.01.2025 - An article provided by Sri.A.V.Gnanasambandam ED&CEO, ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore on TBI activities has been published in Hindu Tamil Thisai.

28.01.2025 - 01.02.2025 - The Agribusiness Incubation Society (ABIS) – Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU, Coimbatore had conducted ten days training on “TANII - Promoting Agri Enterprises Support to Agri Entrepreneurs” under Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women (TNCDW) by Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. The first spell is between 28th January to 1st February, 2025.

25 trainees from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Nilgris, Salem and Namakkal Districts were participated in the training programme.

The TNSRLM training is focused on women entrepreneur, Concept under Exposure to technology Business Incubation activities, Emerging trends of retail bakery chain, Conventional and Innovative bakery products, Interaction with food product based TBI Start-ups, Hands on training at bakery unit, CPHT, TNAU, Coimbatore, Food safety regulation, Detailed project report preparation (DRP) & Hands on training to prepare (DPR) and Scope and Opportunities of bakery industry in India. The trainees will be taken to the facilities of food based successful entrepreneur units. This will help the start-up, facing various challenges related to entrepreneurial capacity, business and marketing strategy, financial resources etc

Tmt.R.Madhura, Project Director (Women Development) TNSRLM, Coimbatore District briefed the role of  Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission schemes and benefits.

Tmt.S.Kavitha, Additional Director (LP), Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women LTD (TNCDW), Chennai inaugurated the training and delivered the special address on the identifying the opportunities in Agribusiness.

30.01.2025 - Dr.N.Sivaramane, Principal Scientist & Professor, Agribusiness Management Division, ICAR - National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad visited ABIS-TBI, TNAU, Coimbatore and TIPPC.

31.01.2025 - The Sixth NIDHI - EIR work progress evaluation meeting by the NIDHI EIR Screening Committee (NESC) for evaluating the work progress of the NIDHI EIR Round 5 fellows from November 2024 to January 2025 was held at ABIS-TBI-NIDHI EIR Centre.
